2010

Matt and I have moved out of my grandma's house. We have 3 offers on our house right now and hope to close by the beginning of may. Surely 1 out of 3 can make it to closing right? We can only hope so. The house has been for sale over 2 years now. Ellie and Mason are adjusting to the new apartment. I am still finishing up school, plan to graduate December 2010. There will be a huge party when that happens. Matt will finish his masters degree in August or December depending on when the classes are offered. I am loving my new job with the Arthritis Foundation. I am going to try to update this blog more than once a year!

We sold our house!!!

Closing date is set for July 23 and we could not be happier! We have been very busy lately, school, beach trips, work, packing, and everything else that happens everyday. I am posting a few pictures we had taken in May in Birmingham. Let me know what you think!

San Francisco 2008

So Labor Day weekend I went to San Francisco to visit my Dad. I had not been sinc the late nineties and wanted to go see my Dad so Thursday August 28, 2008 I left from Memphis and flew to San Francisco (SFO). Friday I adjusted to the time change and we drove up highway 1 to Napa Valley. I saw the Golden Gate Bridge, the pacific ocean, Sausalito, Stinson Beach, Petaluma and Santa Rosa. We spent the night in Santa Rosa after eating dinner at Outback and then got up the next morning to head into Napa Valley for a day of wine tasting. We arrived at Sterling Vineyards at 10am, purchased our tickets and got in the air tram to start our tour. The tram took us up the mountain to the winery. The view was gourgeous and breathtaking. We got to taste 5 wines during the tour and that was enough! Because we went during the early morning we got to watch them bring up the grapes that had just been hand picked. The grapes were a savigon blanc. We got to taste them and they were delicious. The sweetest grapes I have ever tasted! While the tour continued we were sitting on patio that over looked napa valley. I went to look at a map that was on display and as I turned around this guy was on his knees proposing to his girlfriend. I was like "Oh how sweet!" We finished the tour and went up the road to Calistoga, CA. It is an old timey town that is really cute and had some awesome food. We ate lunch here and enjoyed the atmosphere. Before leaving Calistoga we went to http://www.winegarage.net/ and purchased some local wines. The best part is every bottle in the store is $25.00 or less. So I purchased a Pinot Gri and a Pinot Noir. I have tried the Pinot Gri already and it is delicious. Once I had enough wine, we left and headed back to SFO. Sunday we went downtown SFO and had a blast riding cable cars, taking hundreds of photos, shopping and eating. It was the best trip I have had in a while and a much needed one at that. I flew back home Monday and I am just know back on track with CDT. Hope all is well with everyone and sorry I have been a horrible blog updater!!!

Biloxi, MS

Our next destination on our tour across the southeastern United States is Biloxi, MS. Matt has been promoted once again to Biloxi, Mississippi. Once the house sells I will move to Biloxi with Matt. This time we get to enjoy full service moving, so I don't have to lift a finger. That makes me excited! I always just get settled when we get news to move again! I guess that is how you climb the ladders and make the BIG money. So hopefully by the end of the summer our house will sell and I can enjoy the beach this summer.
I currently work at ALSAC / St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and I love it! I am going to hate leaving but that is God's plan for me so I will just go where he guides me.
Matt came home for the weekend and I am enjoying getting to spend time with him after 3 weeks of being apart. We are going to some friends house tonight and church tomorrow and then he leaves again. I plan to update this more frequently than I have been, so call me if you need an update!

Summer Time

Matt and I are hanging out in Montgomery, AL hoping and praying that God will settle us sometime soon. We would not mind staying here, but would love to get settled in a home of our own. We dislike apartment life very much.

As far as the Rheumatoid goes, I went to a new doctor here in Montgomery who adjusted some medications and took some blood. We shall see what comes of the new medicine.

Happy Summer to everyone!
